Whenever I see/listen/hear about plagiarism, I am remembered of the copy-cat nature of Indian Garment Industry. The Anu-malik factor has found a strong support and fan following in the hot fashionable industry. The designs and trends of all, big or small, are inspired by the ideas created/conceived abroad. In his language, "We don't copy, We are inspired." Yes, indeed we are, that's why many a times we find printed t-shirts which carry a symbol thats inspired by the the likes of domains as varied as computing, manufacturing, FMCG and what to say, even the skull & bone danger signal.
Anyways, today I pay my due respect and honor to this girl, who always casted an ever-lasting impression on me. Impressed not by her intellect or wit, but, by her innocence, simplicity, her voice, the way she spoke, and her ever-charming enigmatic smile. She was damn beautiful and gorgeous. Her voice so sweet that it made me feel lighter and brighter. Her oozing of positive vibes all around her surroundings, made me ponder if she was for real. Always praising the other person during conversation, bringing out the positive, talking of good things in life, her never-ever admonishing attitude, zero craft personality, makes me call her the GEM of our batch. Her traits had made many fall for her, and her attitude to make people regain lost ground, was another feather in her cap.
She dressed up casually, nothing like other idiots, who found college to be a glam world, and the class a fashion stage. It was pretty evident from her attire, which was without fancy. Whatever she put on, it complimented her, for she had the perfect figure, the perfect face and the perfect smile along with loads of confidence. Confidence not to take on the world, but the confidence to live and strive, confidence that the world is a good place to live. Her body language was enough to make her presence felt. The colors she wore made her fragrant.
We have had many a conversations, some lasting for hours, and not even once did I ever felt that she was trying to be smart. She always respected my point-of-view and always talked with adjectives that respected other folks. This is one thing I have learnt from her: to address the other person with respect, however close he/she is to you. Lady, this earned you my respect. As someone has rightly put it in words, "You command respect and not demand".
With the kind of strength, zeal, and courage she did her daily chores, the power she exposed, the sage she was, I was always taken aback. For, I had never seen a girl putting up so much. Infact, I would say there was only one other girl (in the college) who could exhibit such tremendous will power. These two girls had the persona which always made me crave for more. Their sense of humor, immense strength, zealous attitude, helping nature, and the ever charming smile were the kill. And above all, the two used to get along very well. ;)
Her spirit of enjoying life, being content and happy about what life has given her, always exuberated liveliness. When you see someone so content in life, so happy and contended, you yourself get a good feeling: a feeling that there is more to life than just regretting. As the dialougue goes: "Why waste time regretting?".
Lady, I am not writing it to offend you (as GC might think again), but this is a sincere effort to convey to you, my impressions of your personality. So strong were they, that till date, I give examples of you, of the exemplary persona you demonstrate. This is an attempt to let you know how ardent admirer I have been of yours. I would always cherish the times spent with you, and would treasure the friendship. I wish you immense luck, good-will and happiness in life.
And those of you who are still guessing, why I started with the copy-cat story here is the reason. One of her t-shirts had "Nothing Inside" printed. In pure sense, she really had nothing inside, no ill-will, no hatred, no craft in her. Her soul was as pure as her name.
Who is she? Keep guessing... for I don't want GC to come after my life.
To her spirit, strength, friendship, and smile... to our friendship... I Salute!!!
