Oasis!!!

Whenever I see/listen/hear about plagiarism, I am remembered of the copy-cat nature of Indian Garment Industry. The Anu-malik factor has found a strong support and fan following in the hot fashionable industry. The designs and trends of all, big or small, are inspired by the ideas created/conceived abroad. In his language, "We don't copy, We are inspired." Yes, indeed we are, that's why many a times we find printed t-shirts which carry a symbol thats inspired by the the likes of domains as varied as computing, manufacturing, FMCG and what to say, even the skull & bone danger signal.

Anyways, today I pay my due respect and honor to this girl, who always casted an ever-lasting impression on me. Impressed not by her intellect or wit, but, by her innocence, simplicity, her voice, the way she spoke, and her ever-charming enigmatic smile. She was damn beautiful and gorgeous. Her voice so sweet that it made me feel lighter and brighter. Her oozing of positive vibes all around her surroundings, made me ponder if she was for real. Always praising the other person during conversation, bringing out the positive, talking of good things in life, her never-ever admonishing attitude, zero craft personality, makes me call her the GEM of our batch. Her traits had made many fall for her, and her attitude to make people regain lost ground, was another feather in her cap.

She dressed up casually, nothing like other idiots, who found college to be a glam world, and the class a fashion stage. It was pretty evident from her attire, which was without fancy. Whatever she put on, it complimented her, for she had the perfect figure, the perfect face and the perfect smile along with loads of confidence. Confidence not to take on the world, but the confidence to live and strive, confidence that the world is a good place to live. Her body language was enough to make her presence felt. The colors she wore made her fragrant.

We have had many a conversations, some lasting for hours, and not even once did I ever felt that she was trying to be smart. She always respected my point-of-view and always talked with adjectives that respected other folks. This is one thing I have learnt from her: to address the other person with respect, however close he/she is to you. Lady, this earned you my respect. As someone has rightly put it in words, "You command respect and not demand".

With the kind of strength, zeal, and courage she did her daily chores, the power she exposed, the sage she was, I was always taken aback. For, I had never seen a girl putting up so much. Infact, I would say there was only one other girl (in the college) who could exhibit such tremendous will power. These two girls had the persona which always made me crave for more. Their sense of humor, immense strength, zealous attitude, helping nature, and the ever charming smile were the kill. And above all, the two used to get along very well. ;)

Her spirit of enjoying life, being content and happy about what life has given her, always exuberated liveliness. When you see someone so content in life, so happy and contended, you yourself get a good feeling: a feeling that there is more to life than just regretting. As the dialougue goes: "Why waste time regretting?".

Lady, I am not writing it to offend you (as GC might think again), but this is a sincere effort to convey to you, my impressions of your personality. So strong were they, that till date, I give examples of you, of the exemplary persona you demonstrate. This is an attempt to let you know how ardent admirer I have been of yours. I would always cherish the times spent with you, and would treasure the friendship. I wish you immense luck, good-will and happiness in life.

And those of you who are still guessing, why I started with the copy-cat story here is the reason. One of her t-shirts had "Nothing Inside" printed. In pure sense, she really had nothing inside, no ill-will, no hatred, no craft in her. Her soul was as pure as her name.

Who is she? Keep guessing... for I don't want GC to come after my life.

To her spirit, strength, friendship, and smile... to our friendship... I Salute!!!

Don Quixote's baby

Seduction is science, art, passion or just a look........ well may be its fools paradise. Talking of fools, they like everything come in all sizes small, large and largest. And when you are not in any, assume yourself to be simply a mortal. Today let's talk about the king itself..... he should have been electrocuted long back.... not only did he survive - he killed several innocent souls. No no .... we are not equipped to write about Don Quixote, today, we talk about something special to him, and of course, US.

It was a bright sunny morning when I first caught the glimpse of her. She was sporting my favourite color, BLUE. She looked weak and tired, resting there in peace it caught my attention. I thought how she would look if she was not that tired. I was forced to look at her again and again. There was something magical about her, and definitely it was not her eyes. She had something unique about her, and to find out what, I pondered over her, devoting time to each and every detail. I analyzed her whole figure, top to down, left to right, front to back just to find out: It was her back, yes, her back that was unique and the source of her magical charm. Her back sported something that could have made even the devil faint. The devil fears no one, as has been highly publicized by the Hollywood directors, for he sports the super-natural number 666. Now what would it be like if the devil faced a beauty who was a step ahead of him. What if she sported the number larger than the devil himself: 6666. It really could have made the devil run for his life. Twist in the tale. Come on you pervert minds, I was talking of the Lalaji's official vehicle: the blue colored chariot, which was blessed with the same luck that Lala had.

Someone has rightly said, Bhagwan ke laathi main awaaz nahin hoti. It must be God's magic only that even the RTO judged Lala in the right spirit and awarded him the super-natural number. In my life spanning 25 years, I have never ever seen this number on a vehicle again. May be after allotting the magical number to Lalaji, the RTO decided to ban it. I could be wrong, may be someone amongst us would have witnessed such another lucky man. But I am not that lucky. If you have, then tonight do thank GOD, for you have witnessed someone you easily won't.

Anyways, returning back to Lalaji's sweetheart and my envy, the blue chariot. Envious, yes, I was, for it brought a big laughter on my small face, whenever I remember her. Just imagine, Lala and her Lali riding a decade's old chariot aur hindi movies ki tarah piche likha ho: 6666. Lalaji's close company comprised of him, her equally beautiful sweetheart (we all know who she was, not naming her, lest GC comes after us again), his good friends Santa & Banta. Chaar log aur chaar chakke. Kapil Dev has been the only one from Indian Cricket team to hit four sixes in an over. I bet the other could be only our Lalaji. He had already done that, woh alag baat hai kisi aur vishay main.

The chariot was magnificent and commanded respect when it went on its voyage. The sound of its movement made other carts (splendor's and CBZ's) look minuscule. When Lala and his accomplices used to go on crusades, it was the chariot that won the battle, for it was greater than the devil himself. It was the center of attraction of all, wherever it went, for it is 1 in 10,000 that you witness such a number. Its aura made me think how can one sport such a fate. What deeds did the machine do, that he got such a fellow for the owner.

Ek baar ki baat hai, apne Lalaji lalayin ko leke subah subah mandir gaye. Kaun se mandir: It was always the chandi-mandir which was frequented by PECobian love birds in the mornings. So early in the morning Lalaji with his lalayin set on his voyage to the temple. The chariot was cruising along the ways of Chandigarh but with time, the chariot had lost its power. Lala to show his command over the chariot, raced it towards the destination. Due to the absence of some chemical locha in the chariot and part in Lalaji's brain, the chariot lost its balance over the way, and brought Lala and Lali down to earth. It is said that extra impact of this unforeseen event made Lalaji developed some physical Locha. Allegedly, Lali left him after this incident (psst.... does it mean end Lala clan). The NEWS of lalaji's fall spread like the fire in the jungle, and became the talk of the town on the bright sunny morning. And before I say something to offend GC, I would leave the incident there itself.

It was not the only voyage to be remembered. The chariot had a tale of its own. Once again, there had been a chemical locha with it, and the piston got jammed, damn. This made Lala taste the dust again. But, even after GOD giving so many hints to our lala, he never thought of pondering over the matter. He never realized that its GOD's order for every human to be down to earth.

Well, all auction houses have been looking for it since they saw Lalaji abroad studying financial engineering to its core. Lalaji at least kept our expectation when he did engineering, then some supply chain MBA stuff and again engineering. Lalaji tusse great ho.... to you we Salute!!!
